With San Diego Comic-Con fast approaching, speculation has begun on what we will see at the most popular movie convention of the year. Lucasfilm have their own Hall H panel scheduled on the Friday afternoon to show off [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158) and we all expected to see some new footage, but that might not be the case.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

First of all, the presentation this Friday afternoon will not include a trailer or any new clips of the movie. The next trailer will be coming in the fall, according to sources with knowledge of the project.

Roughly six months before the Dec. 18 release, the Comic-Con panel will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the highly secretive film, which was completely locked down to press during production. (It’s still locked down. Lucasfilm and parent company Disney declined requests for comment.)

Director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy are already confirmed as part of the panel, which will be moderated by Nerdist impresario and Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

Although EW hasn’t learned just which of the cast members will be joining them, our spies say there will be several actors who haven’t yet spoken publicly about their roles venturing onstage in Hall H.

In advance of The Force Awakens panel, there will be two publishing presentations Friday morning about upcoming Star Wars books, but those will also be somewhat restricted in what they can reveal.

It's safe to assume that most of were expecting some form of new footage of the upcoming Star Wars film at this years Comic Con? This is the years biggest convention and Star Wars: The Force Awakens is 2015's biggest movie, it only makes sense.

According to EW a new trailer will arrive in the fall, presumably at D23 later this year, Disney's own convention. The report also claims that actors who have not yet talked publically about their characters will make an appearance, possibly Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver and Max Von Sydow?

Give us something. Anything.
Give us something. Anything. reports that we may see some behind the scenes footage of the film during production. So it's not all bad news. I'm sure Lucasfilm aren't going to let us down with whatever they have in store for us.
