Rumor has it Marvel have found their female lead for next year's Doctor Strange. According to El Miyambe of Heroic Hollywood, Marvel has their sights set on none other than...

Mean girl
Mean girl

Rachel McAdams

Most known for her role as Regina George in Mean Girls, McAdams has also starred in The Notebook, Red Eye, The Time Traveler's Wife, [Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows](tag:37957), and is currently starring in season 2 of HBO's True Detective.

While not known for action roles, I do feel like she would be a great star to nab for a supporting spot. There is no mention as to what character she would be playing, though Doctor Strange's most known female interest is Clea, the niece of the Dread Dormammu. Hailing from the Dark Dimension, Clea comes to side with Strange in his fight against her uncle and eventually marries the Doctor.

Time will tell if this rumor proves true or just another name thrown out there.
