"The year is 2134, and the post-apocalypse landscape that had been the backdrop of so many of your favorite films has now become your world. Water is scarce, the desserts are endless and there is a steady stream of deranged outlaws on your tail. To stay alive and maintain any hopes of rebuilding civilization you've got to team up with the absolute best. So, who's in your post-apocalyptic survival team? Choose three characters from any genre or universe (film, TV or video games) and tell us why they would be the best crew to help you survive in a post-apocalyptic world (Moviepilot.com)."
So, it's the Apocalypse and things have gone horribly wrong. I need a team that can get me through anything: 3 bad-asses that are good fighters and can adapt well to a dangerous situation. Whether that situation is vampires, zombies or just your standard post-apocalyptic wasteland, they gotta step up to the plate.
1. Jensen "Frankenstein" Ames (Death Race--2008 Version)
First thing you need is a wheelman. From the under-appreciated 2008 flick Death Race. Let's start with the car. It's a Mustang Fastback with a ridiculous amount of weaponry on it--both defensive and offensive. It's fast, armored, and can take corners teeming with zombies like a champ. Getting out of a dangerous situation is priority one. Frank himself is a good fighter but can also think on his feet (wheels?). Besides, the Monster wouldn't look out of place on the Fury Road.
2. Owen Grady (Jurassic World)
Next thing you need is an unshakeable wild animal trainer. Chris Pratt's Owen Grady in Jurassic World is perfect for this environment. Completely calm under pressure and smart. Used to be with the Navy and now trains frickin' Velociraptors for the military. And if the Internet is to be believed, Grady even studied with Alan Grant in Montana. He managed to survive a wild dinosaur park, the apocalypse should be no problem. On a motorcycle he has no equal. Watch Jurassic World and you can see that Owen can go with the flow and help keep a bad Dinosaur/Zombie situation from going completely pear-shaped.
It would be even better if he had his raptors with him.
3. Faith Lehane (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Finally, you need a bad-ass Vampire Slayer. Our superhero of the group. Faith, the "bad Slayer" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Because evil is always hotter than good. But seriously, Faith would be great in this situation because this has always been her situation. A lone Vampire Slayer fighting vampires with just her fists and a piece of wood. She's super strong, great reflexes and knows how to kill. She's protective of her charges and would adapt well to a horrific environment (she already watched Sunnydale razed into a crater). She would take you through the worst the Apocalypse would have and bring you out the other side unharmed. A Slayer was built for this sort of thing. Plus, if it's the apocalypse, wouldn't you want Eliza Dushku sitting next to you?
And there you have it. My Apocalyptic Dream Team. Let's hit the badlands and look for some gas, breeders and feral children.
Is this a good team or what?
