This is continuation to a previous article about DC comics, so enjoy!

Marvel, compared to DC, have more, it really doesn’t feel like it. However Marvel has 8 shows to DC’s 6, they have 4 currently airing and 4 planned for release within the next couple of years. Currently airing are [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469), [Marvel's Agent Carter](tag:1119765), [Daredevil (Netflix)](tag:1168702) , and PlayStation Network original Powers. Then in production are [A.K.A. Jessica Jones](tag:1168773), Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. All of these shows are Netflix originals like Daredevil and are expected to crossover often. The Defenders is a team of which Jessica Jones, Cage and Iron Fist are all members. Agent Carter takes place during World War 2, so crossovers are not expected unless somehow flashbacks are incorporated into SHIELD or time travel into Agent Carter. Small Easter eggs have gone between SHIELD and Daredevil so a full on crossover is possible but unlikely because SHIELD episodes are released weekly while Daredevil episodes are all released all at once. Maybe appearances by characters from each show like SHIELD shows up in Hell's Kitchen and is met by Matt Murdoch as himself and he is shown as Daredevil. Powers, is based on comics by Marvel Comics but does not take place in the same Universe as the other characters so a crossover is doubtful. So for the list…

Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)

Johnny Blaze - daddy issues.
Johnny Blaze - daddy issues.

The Supernatural, flaming skeleton called Ghost Rider. Johnny Blaze was just a regular superstar motorcycle driver when he made a deal with the Devil. Literally. He chose to become a servant of the Devil if the Devil spared his dad. His dad still died, so moral of the story is don’t trust the Devil. But really, the emotionally scarred superhero could provide for some great television. He becomes the Rider at night and whenever he is around evil. His powers include the use of hellfire. A special fire that he can control that leaves no physical scars, rather hurts the soul. He carries around a biker chain that is doused in hell fire as well as ride a motorcycle that is made of hellfire. He also can perform the penance stare, doing so makes the victim feel the guilt from everything they have ever done which eventually destroys their soul. He could be introduced in Daredevil, especially because it seems the Punisher will be a big part on Season 2. Ghost Rider plays roles in both Daredevil and Punisher. In fact he performed the penance stare on Frank Castle (Punisher) and it is revealed Castle feels no guilt for what he has done.

Nova (Sam Alexander)

The helmet chose him.
The helmet chose him.

Nova is easily one of my favorite characters! His New 52 story is fantastic, and his growth into a man is fun to follow along. Basically a teenage boy named Sam Alexander receives a powered helmet from his father who died. The helmet was his Father’s but chose him also. The helmet chooses those who are worthy and grants them powers. Those powers include flight, shooting powered rays and extreme healing. Everyone who has the helmet becomes a part of the Nova corps, very similar to the Green Lantern corps from DC. He could very well be introduced in Daredevil, the high production budget of Netflix would make it easy to produce the special effects. In one of the first issues of Nova New 52, he headed to New York to try and be a superhero. He ended up getting in Spiderman’s way and being scolded. Something similar could happen with Daredevil, except he would stay and get better in the show rather than leave New York as in the comics.

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

Spider-Woman, radiated in the womb.
Spider-Woman, radiated in the womb.

Spider-Woman is not actually related to Peter Parker or any Spider-Man, nor did she get her powers the same way. While in her mother’s womb, Jessica Drew would be hit by a beam of radiation carrying the genome of different species of Spiders. Drew was kidnapped by HYDRA at a young age and trained into a HYDRA assassin and brainwashed about her real past until her memories were freed by Modred the Mystic. From there she became a hero with her alternate identity being a Private Investigator working closely with Jessica Jones. Her powers include superhuman strength, she can lift 7 tons at max. She has superhuman speed, stamina, agility and reflexes. Her body is extremely resistant to injury, she has superb hearing and smell. Her hands and feet produce a liquid that lets her stick to walls. Her body produces pheromones that cause attraction from men and hate from women. She can also glide, almost achieving flight at times. Her body also produces massive amounts of bio-energy which she can discharge as energy blasts which are similar to lightning bolts, they cause pain and unconsciousness. She is a great hand to hand fighter from her training under HYDRA. She is also trained in espionage and has supreme language skills. She could easily be introduced through the upcoming series Jessica Jones as the two often work closely together.

X-23

Like Wolverine, but prettier
Like Wolverine, but prettier

X-23 is a genetic experiment created from the Y chromosome of The Wolverine. She has adamantium fused to her bones as well as claws that retract like Wolverine’s except that there are 2 in her hands and one in both her feet. She has an accelerated healing factor, she can reattach her limbs if they are cut off, she is also immune to most drugs and diseases. She is highly trained with all weaponry and explosives as well as martial arts. She is also extremely smart and highly educated. She was raised and trained in a lab in order to become a highly trained killer. She would be hard to introduce as there are no TV shows currently on schedule to take place in the X-Men universe. But a standalone show could take place on Fox.

The Sentry

Canine lover
Canine lover

Sentry is a rather new character, first appearing in 2000, but incredible all the same. He is a guy struggling with addiction who is also very close to his dog. His powers come from a serum 100,000 times stronger than the serum used on Captain America and Weapon X. The serum caused his molecules to move a second ahead of the timeline. Allowing limitless possibilities. He has super speed, he can fly to the sun and back in minutes, he can emit light, project energy from both hand and eyes. He is invulnerable, able to withstand blasts from various energy sources, Iron Man has not found any physical weaknesses on him. He has super sense, he can see nerves! He has extreme mental prowess, he resurrected his wife with a touch, he resurrected himself after physical destruction. He went toe to toe with Galactus, fought Hulk until they both reverted to human form and even overload The Absorbing Man! His powers are on a biblical scale and it is thought he descends from the Judeo-Christian God. Such a powerful character would be amazing to watch on screen! However, throughout his series he teams up with everyone from the Avengers to Spider-Woman so it would be hard for him to have a place anywhere.
