Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but it looks as if this weekend's SDCC will be light of Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage, meaning no clips and... no trailer. Lame.

But, according to Entertainment Weekly, the Hall H panel will apparently be joined by members of the cast that haven't yet publicly spoken about their roles, plus director J.J. Abrams, screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Nerdist's very own Chris Hardwick will be on hand to dutifully lead discussion.

Instead of giving us a glimpse at new Star Warsian sights, the panel will offer us a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, and what that will entail is anybody's guess. But if I had to chuck in my 10 cents, I'd say we'll be shown sets, planets and generally wax lyrical about where exactly the movie is in production at the moment.

But not all is lost, because Disney's own D23 Expo is literally just around the corner, and that's going to be filled to the brim with Star Wars goods, so I say to you, reader, and myself:
