It's always a game of chance when you scroll through Netflix with high expectations of finding something to scare the shit out of you. The last time I did this I wound up watching Stitches, the 2012 film under the 'Horror' selection that wound up making me laugh myself to the point of piss; furthermore questioning a possible UTI. But, this time was definitely a game changer; and here's why...

For those who have not watched the film, I will spare you any spoilers in hope that you will see this shit-show for yourself. But basically, the film illustrates an actress in LA trying to make it big. She "works" herself to the point of complete insanity which then drives her spiraling into a world very, very unexpected and foreign. Now, doesn't that sound quite typical for an artist? Well, it is and it's quite refreshing to see it in film.

What would you do to make your dreams come true?

We artists say that we'd do anything to make our dreams come true; but would we really? Would we be okay with allowing ourselves to do other things to achieve our goal? Or are we just too damn selfish to allow ourselves to wait on a few tables for the monthly rent?

I really like this story simply because it's actually quite theatrically accurate. We all say we'd suck dick to get the role, but none of us actually wind up doing it. It takes a crazy, naive, and amateur actor to be the one to actually do it. Here, we have Sarah: crazy, naive, and amateur enough to star as the example of our artistic extremity. Sarah, the actor, does everything we wished we had the balls to do. Doesn't that make her a hero?

Maybe to some! But in this case it makes her a crazy bitch willing to sell her soul (literally).

This film really has it all...

You got your tits, your gore, and your mysterious satanic cult. The three of those combined with a hot-ass leading role and some Michael Goi 'esk' cinematography makes for 98 minutes of pure squirmy F.U.N. (Fucked Up Nonsense).

I really think the 'horror' resonates within the reality of the situation. Don't be expecting constant jumps, goblins, or ghouls. Actually, just don't expect anything! There are many reasons to watch this movie:

Want to see a hot anorexic Brunette transform into Doggett from OITNB?

GOT IT!
GOT IT!

Want to see boobs both in and out of their shirts?

GOT IT.. you pervs
GOT IT.. you pervs

Want to see some major Dick Sucking PTSD?

GOT IT!
GOT IT!

I really recommend this film to all horror-lovers, but especially those who are in the mood for a badass female lead to literally rip your insides out. This story is bloody fucking ambitious, and a step in the right direction for the horror industry.
