Moviepilot's own Allanah Faherty already covered a good portion of secretly improvised moments from Harry Potter and a good portion of you all seemed to enjoy seeing those. Therefore, I decided to dig a little bit deeper and see whether there was anything else.
Awesomely enough, I found a few tidbits that I never knew about the land of Hogwarts and the Wizarding World as a whole... at least, in the way that it was portrayed in the movies. Clearly, you can't get everything done and said from a book to film adaptation, but they worked their asses off on this production to make sure they came close.
Here are 3 more awesome things you may not have known about our favorite wizards.
1. Alan Rickman, who played Snape, often had to argue with directors to get his character right... with the knowledge of his story arc that those directors didn't have
Imagine knowing something that monumental and having to pretend otherwise. It would make almost every one of your scenes more difficult.
2. Neville Longbottom had to wear a fat suit and fake teeth as he started to look "too good" for the role.
I'd imagine that starting to look too good for the character you've played over the past several years would be a pretty cool thing. At first, it might seem like a negative, but he turned out looking model-esque and I'm sure he was paid well for his role as the bumbling guy with a great heart.
3. Harry knew there would be a "death" scene, but wasn't sure exactly what that entailed
When Daniel Radcliffe asked J.K. Rowling about Harry's fate, she told him that he would have a "death scene". I'm sure this played into the psyche of Harry throughout the movies.
