Promoting their "201 Days of the X-Files" marathon, Fox has released a promotional trailer featuring many snippets of what looks to be The X-Files reboot heading our way back into our televisions. This footage shows Mulder and Scully back in action, and it looks amazing! If you haven't seen it yet, check it out here:
The footage may be short, these few minutes sure do bring back a lot of excitement being a huge fan of the X-Files. Agents Mulder and Scully are put back in their familiar positions--charging through a door into an abandoned, dark area with a flashlight and a gun. The only difference is Gillian Anderson's hair by which we can tell that it's not the '90s anymore.
Anderson can be clearly seen with a face full of shock and fear even though Duchovny's facial expression cannot be clearly seen. These two seem worried which means good news for us. The "unexplained phenomena" is back! The footage also features a voiceover from Mulder that takes place in the episode, "Paper Clip", where he tells Scully:
"I believe that what we're looking for is in the X-Files. I'm more certain than ever that the truth is in there."
This is one of the best lines of the series that explains the whole point of the shows and to which Scully says:
"I've heard the truth, Mulder. Now what I want are the answers."
While Anderson and Duchovny are busy filming the 6-episode series, we are going to be waiting till January 24, 2016 on Sunday to watch the first episode of this great reboot. And, if you haven't seen this series, you have 201 days to watch all the episodes on Fox, one episode a day. Or, you can binge-watch all the episodes on Netflix.
And Always Remember:
