Superheroes have become the focal point of pop culture over the past ten years. There have been TV shows, songs, and much more. But much more importantly, there have been movies. And a lot of them, they started in the early 2000's, and have been growing since then. And since there are movies, there has to be actors to portray the heroes and the villains. And you won't believe the kind of dough they make acting as our favorite characters.
So, through careful research, I have found the ten highest paid actors that have either played a hero or a villain.
10 - Ryan Reynolds - $9 Million
Known for playing the DC hero Green Lantern in the Green Lantern live-action movie, Reynolds was able to pull in 9 million for a movie that worse than we expected. Reynolds will again play a superhero, this time in Marvel's Deadpool.
9 - George Clooney - $10 Million
Clooney is the second highest paid Batman of all time, even though his Batman movie (singular, for good reason) is known as the worst Batman movie made.
8 - Ben Affleck - $12.5 Million
Ben Affleck was paid 12.5 million for his role as Daredevil. And just like the previous on this list, were not exactly what we had in mind. Affleck will return to playing a superhero as Batman in [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870).
7 - Halle Berry - $14 Million
Even though her reception as Catwoman wasn't very high, the cheque was, as Berry managed to rack in 14 million.
6 - Tobey Maguire - $15 Million
Tobey Maguire, who played Spider-Man in the Spider-man trilogy, earned 15 million for his role in Spider-man 3.
5 - Hugh Jackman - $20 Million
Jackman has played the role of The Wolverine for over 15 years, and he deserved the 20 million he made from the X-Men Series.
4 - Christian Bale - $30 Million
One of my favorite actors, Bale was only paid 10 million for his role in The Dark Knight. But since he earns a percentage of every dollar the film grossed in theaters, it raised his earnings to over 30 million.
3 - Robert Downey Jr. - $50 Million
Surprisingly, Downey is the only Marvel hero on this list. And think how lucky he was when Marvel's The Avengers earned over 1.5 billion dollars in revenue, which pushed him up to 50 million.
2 - Marlon Brando - $55 Million
Brando was paid 3.7 million for his work in Superman: The Movie, but ended walking away with 16 million because he was paid a percentage of the movies revenue. And since that was 1978, it would even out at over 55 million today.
1 - Jack Nicholson - $100 Million
Nicholson (who played the Joker) even managed to get paid more money than Michael Keaton in the 1989 Batman movie. He was paid 60 million then, but that would translate at over 100 million now.
Did you guess who would take the number 1 spot, or did you think it would be another actor/actress? Let me know in the comments below!
