Popular pop star Taylor Swift seems to be a fan of the X-Men Series and here's the photo to prove it:
[X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267) writer/producer Simon Kinberg shared a photo of himself and Swift hanging out with Sophie Turner (Jean Grey) and James McAvoy (Professor X, with head freshly shaved) via Twitter.
So far, there seems to be no indication that this photo has anything to do with the production of Apocalypse but plenty of Swift fans wouldn't mind seeing her cameo in the movie, possibly as Dazzler with a 1980's setting. The role would surely fit her rather than another character.
Who is Dazzler?
Dazzler (Alison Blaire) is a superheroine usually associated with the X-Men. She first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #130 (February 1980). Dazzler is a mutant with the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams. Despite the fact that Dazzler was originally commissioned as a disco singer, the character shifted to other musical genres, including rock and adult contemporary. She starred in a self-titled solo series in the early 1980s which lasted forty-two issues, a Marvel Graphic Novel titled Dazzler: The Movie, a four-issue limited series co-starring The Beast titled Beauty and the Beast, and later joined the cast of the X-Men. She was briefly a member of the spin-off group Excalibur but has since re-joined the X-Men.
Why Would Swift Be A Good Choice to Play Dazzler?
Firstly, Swift has an uncanny resemblance to Dazzler. And aside from that fact, Dazzler has been a very popular singer in her own universe. And her superpower, converting sound vibrations to light and energy, seem just about perfect for Swift to play. If not as a full-fledged superhero, Swift may be introduced, first, as Alison Blaire, Dazzler's alter-ego. Introducing her, first, as a normal character would be better than showing her as a mutant first. They may even fit a song or two in there.
