Star Wars is one of those franchises that can be successful no matter the age demographic being targeted. Everyone from grown men to little kids can enjoy Star Wars thanks to the franchises incredible marketing. Comic books, movies, video games, Star Wars has covered them all!
What's next? Little Golden Books, of course!
Little Golden Books are exactly how they sound; short story books meant for children. Little Golden Books is known for making short story books mostly based on Disney movies and series, so this Star Wars deal makes complete sense.
Come July 28, fans will be able to pick up the first six books in LGB form: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Each book is even going to feature a cool golden spine showing popular characters in the Star Wars universe.
Jeanne Mosure, Senior Vice President and Group Publisher of Disney Publishing Worldwide had this to say about the book deal:
“The Star Wars franchise has woven itself into the hearts and minds of generations of fans, many of whom read Little Golden Books as children. We’re very excited to be incorporating Little Golden Books into our overarching strategy so parents can now introduce their own children to the wonders of the galaxy through this classic format.”
I know they're for children, but I'm totally getting these. I have to. Come on, you're telling me you wouldn't buy that for yourself? Just look at the cool cover art and the character-filled golden spine! Talk about some beautiful design.
For those who'd rather get them all at once, a boxed set of all six of the Star Wars LGB's will be available on September 1, 2015! Are you going to pick it up?
Thanks for reading!
