Apocalypse Diary - Day 126

Today is May 6, 2134, and the world has gone to complete you-know-what! The repercussions from the nuclear war over 100 years ago are still being felt, and the fact that the government is pushing the so-called cure for nuclear radiation that is turning people into zombies isn't helping! I know what I must do. I must put together a team to save the world!

First things first...

The Muscle: Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z)

“Don't wake me for the end of the world unless it has very good special effects.” ― Roger Zelazny, Prince of Chaos
“Don't wake me for the end of the world unless it has very good special effects.” ― Roger Zelazny, Prince of Chaos

Strengths: Goku is pure of heart and in the apocalypse nothing is more important than someone's character. That being said,in times of turmoil Goku fights with intense emotions that push his strength past any preconceived limitations. He has the ability to fly, teleport, and can harness energy blasts so powerful they can wipe out hundreds of enemies at a time. No matter what, Goku will push himself to protect the earth and its inhabitants.

Weaknesses: Goku has been known to be too lenient on his enemies due to his pure heart, willing to give them second chances instead of finishing them off. He is often perceived as dumb because of his simplistic views, however, Goku can learn things very quickly when he puts his mind to it. His main downside is he will eat all of your food.

Now to the brains of the operation...

The Brains: Rocket Raccoon (Guardians of the Galaxy)

If the apocalypse starts in Vegas does it stay in Vegas?
If the apocalypse starts in Vegas does it stay in Vegas?

Strengths: Ain't no thing like Rocket, except Rocket! Nothing could be more true. Like a utility player in baseball, Rocket has an insane amount of skills that make him capable of doing just about anything. Rocket has sharp eyesight and can see in the dark. He also has enhanced senses of smell and hearing, and fur that keeps him insulated in any environment. Not to mention he's an expert marksman, a martial artist, and a great pilot. But that's just icing on the cake, because what I really need rocket to do is be the brains of my team. In the apocalypse, having a master technician and strategist on your side is invaluable. His ability to create weapons out of almost anything, and escape any sticky situation nabs him the second spot on the team.

Weakness: His unique skill set makes any weaknesses easy to overlook. However, Rocket can be brash. He has a loud mouth and can sometimes be hard to get along with, but he clearly has a big heart and cares about his friends.

Now I need a leader...

The Leader: Obi Wan Kenobi (Star Wars)

“This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.” ― T.S. Eliot

Strengths: Obi Wan can be a friend, a mentor, and a bad ass. The fact that he's wise, but also can get down and dirty with a lightsaber makes him the perfect third member for this apocalypse team. Despite the fact Obi Wan posses immense skill with a lightsaber, his force abilities are also potent. Those abilities would come in handy in any type of apocalypse scenario, whether it be zombies, aliens, asteroids, or a nuclear wasteland. Like Rocket he is an amazing tactician and like Goku he has tremendous will. Not many people could command the respect of Rocket and Goku, but Obi Wan definitely could! That's what makes him the final member and leader of my apocalypse team.

Weaknesses: Obi Wan is not in possession of any distinct weaknesses, which makes him the ultimate leader in my book!

I'm loving the posts you guys are writing about your apocalypse team and I hope you enjoyed mine! And if you haven't made a post yet what are you waiting for!
