Since today (July 14th) is the 15th anniversary of the original X-Men movie, I thought in honor of the movie I would do a quick fan cast. While the X-Men Series might not have gained as much success if it weren't for the casting choices made, my fan cast is in good spirit, just to celebrate X-Men's 15th birthday. So here it is, my X-Men fan cast.

Karl Urban as Wolverine

Judge Dredd, Bones, and The Ocean Master
Judge Dredd, Bones, and The Ocean Master

While Hugh Jackman will always be the best take on The Wolverine, Karl Urban could give him a run for his money. He can play dark and gritty roles like no one else, he has the look for Wolverine, and if the movie were to get remade or rebooted, Urban would be a younger and safer choice.

Kerry Washington as Storm

Alicia from Fantastic Four
Alicia from Fantastic Four

Halle Berry's performance as Storm wasn't one of her best roles, so I think Washington wouldn't have a hard time reinventing the character for herself. She's a very popular actress because of Scandal, and she has the perfect look for the role.

Michael Gambon as Magneto

While no one, and I mean NO ONE could give as good of a performance as Ian McKellen did, Gambon is one of the greatest actors of all time, so he could at least have a shot. He gave one of the best performances I've ever seen as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series, and he has the accent and look for the character.

Michael Caine as Professor X

Yes, another famous, British Michael. While Patrick Stewart was the perfect casting, I believe that Michael Caine with a bald cap or shaved head could do just as good. He's an outstanding actor (yes, I used that adjective on purpose), he's naturally British, and he has the chops to play really anything.

Rachelle LeFevre as Jean Grey

Julia from Under the Dome
Julia from Under the Dome

She's a natural redhead, and she's great at playing emotionally unstable characters, which Jean is most of the time. While I did like Famke Janssen's performance, I feel like Rachelle could give a much better and genuine portrayal.

Jared Padalecki as Cyclops

Sam Winchester
Sam Winchester

While James Marsden was great in the role, Jared has a body that appeals more to the comics, being 6'4" and built. Yes, Cyclops is supposed to be slim, hence his nickname "Slim", but we can stray from that a little bit. Padalecki fits the bill for the role, and I feel like he would be great as a character that commands authority.

Emilia Clarke as Rouge

With Anna Paquin's performance as Rouge lacking, I think Clarke could fill her shoes perfectly. I'm not sure how great her southern belle accent is, but I do know she looks great with white in her hair (shout out to you Game of Thrones fans), and there's always the option of accent training.

Joe Manganiello as Sabretooth

This guy is built like a brick house, and he has a lot of wolf-like aspects about him. He could fit right into Tyler Mane's shoes with ease.

Charlie Day as Toad

Isn't the role of Toad basically a joke? Charlie Day is very short, he has the look to appeal to the character (with a little make-up of course), and he has a very annoying voice that could aid with the character. Don't get me wrong, I love Charlie Day to pieces, that's why I'm putting him in this role. He would be great to have as a comic relief character, and he's best suited for the role of Toad.

Charlize Theron as Mystique

Theron is a wonderful action star, she's a very pretty woman, and with some blue paint, she could be the best adult Mystique we've seen. The fact that she looks like an older Jennifer Lawrence doesn't hurt either.

Chloe Grace Moretz as Shadowcat

Hit Girl
Hit Girl

Even though Shadowcat didn't have a big part in the first movie, Chloe Grace Moretz would be great to have on board for her future appearances. While she does play badass roles very well, she can also play innocent and vulnerable. Shadowcat has her moments of action, but she's mainly just a sweet little girl, and I think Moretz could pull that off.

Dylan O'Brien as Iceman

While I did think that Shawn Ashmore was a good fit for Iceman, O'Brien could very well be the perfect fit. He's very charming, he can play both sarcastic and happy-go-lucky characters well, and on the other end of the scale he can go as dark as he needs to for serious action scenes. Not to mention he's at the perfect age, has the perfect build, and has an almost spot on look for the character. He really is just the perfect choice in my eyes.

Liam Hemsworth as Pyro

He's a natural blonde, and he's actually Australian. Am I the only one that wants an Australian Pyro? Not only that, but Hemsworth is the right age for the role, built like a superhero, and it's about time he joined his brother among the Marvel Universe.

What did you think? Do you have an actor that could play one of these roles? Let me know in the comments!
