Another day goes by, another piece of superhero related casting information soars over our heads, right?...

Wrong! Today has been a day of rejoicing (or absolute disappointment) for various Arrow fans, as lovers of the CW TV show have been given the name of who is set to play Season 4's next big bad guy: Damien Darhk.

I am intrigued...
I am intrigued...

The actor in question is Neal McDonough. By sight, this dude right here:

Lookin' smart, if not slightly menacing.

Before I get started on who this dude is, you guys ought to know he's an incredibly talented actor. He's played parts in large Hollywood blockbusters such as RED 2, but is probably more recognizable to you folks from his role as Howling Commando Dum Dum Dugan, in Captain America: The First Avenger...

Is his hat made by Citroen?

That's right, he joins the ranks of James Marsden, Ben Affleck and Natalie Portman to play roles for both Marvel and their competitor, DC. Personally, I think it'll be interesting to see Neal put on his bad-guy boots and take them for a stroll, seeing as he otherwise has played generally good-guy characters.

It seems this prophecy is true...

Damien Darhk evaded viewers' screens during the close of Arrow Season 3, although he was frequently mentioned and somewhat involved in the happenings of the final episode.

For those who are wondering about who Mr. Darhk will be, the Arrow producers describe him as:

“A mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra’s Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges.”

But, what do you guys think? Will Damien Darhk prove a challenge? Will Arrow Season 4 live up to expectations? Leave your thoughts down below, take the poll, or (if you have the courage) create your own post!
