Warner Bros has just announced during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con that the title of the next Green Lantern film will be Green Lantern Corps. The title had been heavily rumored in the last few weeks, and now it has been confirmed.

Green Lantern Corps refers to the intergalactic police force that patrols the 3600 sectors of the universe, and contains 7200 Green Lanterns meaning that it's highly probable fans will get to see at least two of the primary Lanterns - Hal Jordan, John Stewart, or perhaps even Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner.

The news is fantastic for fans who have been heavily speculating over who should be cast as Green Lantern in the upcoming reboot.

Furious 7 actor Tyrese Gibson has been extremely vocal with his desire to play the role of John Stewart, meanwhile MTV are suggesting that Chris Pine has been cast as Hal Jordan, though that has yet to be confirmed.

The choice for the film also suggests that it may focus on some of the fan-favorite alien characters from the comic book series.
