The Lady Sif (played by The Last Stand's Jamie Alexander) is a proud and fierce Asgardian warrior who first appeared in 2011 in the Phase 1 Marvel movie Thor. An unofficial member of the Warriors Three, this maiden became a trusted soldier in Odin's army. She showed she could hold her own against Frost Giants and Asgardian Destroyers. She's a bad-ass and she has armor and a double-bladed sword.

Then she appeared in the sequel [Thor: The Dark World](tag:206462) and went up against her king, Odin, and helped Thor and Jane Foster escape Asgard and go to the Dark World and Earth. Once again, she kicked ass. Her love for Thor became apparent but did not impede her actions. Little did she know that at the end of that movie, Loki took the place of his adopted father Odin and began to rule Asgard. Thor stayed on Earth with Jane Foster and fought with The Avengers.

Next up for Lady Sif was [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469) (in the episode Yes Men). Sif was there on assignment from "Odin." She went up against her arch-nemesis Lorelei and made new allies with our intrepid Agents.

Finally, Sif appeared again on Agents of SHIELD season 2 (episode title: Who You Really Are) around the same time she did the previous year. This time, however, she attempted to blend in with the humans to find her prey (leather jacket and jeans look good on Sif). With her memory lost, she fought against a Kree warrior several times before becoming allies against SHIELD. However, peace was eventually restored and all were friends again by the end of the episode (somewhat).

Now season 3 of Agents of SHIELD has been announced and hopefully Jamie Alexander (who played Sif in all her appearances) will be wiling to go another round (after the winter break and [Marvel's Agent Carter](tag:1119765)). This time, though, Alexander has her own show to be on as a full-time cast member. Blindspot looks pretty cool--it's about a woman who wakes up naked and covered in tattoos but has the ability to kick serious butt. Like Sif in the above episode, she can't remember who she is. Muscle memory plays a key part in both roles.

I would also love to see Sif on a show like Agent Carter. She is an immortal goddess warrior who apparently comes to Earth/Midgard regularly. Why not in 1947?

Her name is Agent.

Now it's speculation time, people!

So, let's say that Jamie Alexander does come back for a third time on SHIELD. What could she do? Obviously, Asgard is prepping for Ragnarok (both the event and the upcoming Thor movie). Loki's still on the throne but Thor came back to Asgard at the end of [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035). These future events should play a critical role in any Marvel property.

Now I know that this is a picture from San Diego Comic-Con at the Heroes Reborn booth where anybody can gain the powers of a Hero, at least for one picture. Jamie posted it to her Facebook page on July 11.

What if Sif came back to Earth with new powers?

So cool.

What do you think? Could the preview poster for Sif's return to SHIELD read: "Third Time's A Charm?"

How about the return of Lady Sif?
