I have been reading comics since before I could read. When I learned how to read, they became significantly better.

That idea did cross my mind, but the comicbook story did have a few wild cards and I feel like Scarlet Witch will be one of them. She could very well go that way, but she's never really had a side. She's part of the X-men, but after 'M-Day', the X-men don't really like her. She's part of the Avengers, but after 'Avengers Disassembled' the Avengers don't really like her. Even her latest role in Uncanny Avengers is a role that others are suspicious of and Rogue mentions how part of the reason she's on the team is to make sure Scarlet Witch isn't a danger to the rest of the team. Then of course there are her ties with Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, a role which she both accepts and tries to rebel from. In the 'Age of Ultron' film, you have her working for Ultron, but still wanting to side with the Avengers, given she knows how his plan will turn out. She also wants to work with the Avengers, but still hates Tony Stark. Even her romantic life has always been slightly out of the norm. In the 616 universe (the normal universe) and probably the 199999 universe (cinematic universe) she's been with an android. In the 1610 universe (Ultimate universe) she is with her brother (which has been hinted at in other universes as well) .She's always been an enigma. That's part of the reason I personally find her so appealing as a character.
