So, if you're like me, you've just come from finding the leaked Deadpool trailer up online, and your face is still doing this a little:
And if you haven't indeed seen it yet, for whatever inexplicable reason, check it out here:
Awesome, huh? Well, awesome doesn't quite sum it up, but you get the picture. It's about as awesome as the idea of Iron Man and Batman creating a suit together. That's the level of awesomeness we're at here.
This trailer was undoubtedly full of crude humor, awesome Deadpool-esque action, and easter eggs. The biggest (quite physically) of these came in the form of a giant metal dude. Check him out:
This guy, if you've seen the trailer, has the capability to send our much-loved Wade Wilson flying witha single sweep of the arm - so he's clearly a pretty strong guy.
Obviously, we can't expect much picture quality wise, but to me, it also seems as though he's donning a very similar costume to the one he sported in X-Men: Days of Future Past:
Obviously, he looks much bulkier, but the events during Days of Future Past did change history, meaning the resulting colossus could be a much bigger person, or, uh, much bigger thing.
If you look at the photo of him in the trailer above, and compare it to the Days of Future Past edition, you can vaguely make out a letter X on both of their costumes. Seeing as it's been confirmed that Deadpool will be part of the wider Fox Cinematic Universe (alongside the X-men and Fantastic Four,) it seems as though we could be set to see Ryan Reynold's merc-with-a-mouth team up with a ton of X-men and women in the future.
All's well that ends well, though, as it seems that by the end of the day the trio of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Colossus and Deadpool will turn out to be a truly happy, and truly dysfunctional, group of super-powered characters.
So, what do you guys think of our new Colossus? Leave your thoughts in the comments - or take the poll!
Until next time :)
