2015 has already been a pretty interesting year for television. With the likes of Galavant, iZombie, Daredevil and Wayward Pines setting a diverse stage for new shows, while the returns of shows such as Penny Dreadful, Black Sails and the ever popular Game of Thrones continue to thrill audiences; it's looking like a hard act to follow for the second half of the year. However below are listed the shows that I think show the most promise that are coming out over the course of the following year.

Ash Vs Evil Dead

Kicking off the list is one of the most hyped television series I can think of. Ash vs Evil Dead is the much awaited sequel to the classic Evil Dead film series and has been a long time in the making. Following the adventures of Ash (Bruce Campbell) the aged and cocky survivor of the horror from the original film trilogy, Ash now has to face the horrors of the Evil Dead all over again. Armed with a chainsaw and a witty vernacular, Ash brings his unique brand of demon slaying to the 21st century. Filled with gore, demons and humor as well as an awesome amount of practical effects, this series looks a blast.

Kim's one sentence trailer review: "Grey man was cool, flashback was confusing, corset was inappropriate for children"

From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series

What isn't to like about From Dusk Till Dawn? It's got all the hallmarks of a good show: Explicit violence? Check. Strippers? Check. Snake people? Check. Danny Trejo? Check. Cool action scenes? Check. While season one was pretty much a straight adaptation of the classic Robert Rodriquez flick of the same name, season two is a fully original story and it looks awesome. The inclusion of Danny Trejo is fantastic and it almost has you wondering why he wasn't there in the first place.

Kim's comment: "Fucking Rad! Tits and Trejo! Eiza Gonzales is a wonderful human being"

Into the Badlands

This show has got me so completely pumped! It simply looks amazing. Visually the cinematography is genuinely gorgeous, the fight scenes look impeccable and the production team are proven gold. What's more, how often do we get a high budget Martial Arts television series? Looks fucking fantastic!

Kim's comment: "Fight scenes were radical, the widow was swagging, other characters were not as attractive"

What happens when the Devil gets bored of Hell? He becomes a cop. Just like every supernatural drama, Lucifer follows a suarve British man and the angels look like shite. The major difference is that this time the British man is the devil himself. It looks funny, sexy and simply cool.

Kim's comment: "Had a smooth talking british protagonist which is a sure sign for success"

The Shannara Chronicles

In terms of fantasy on TV it's probably not likely we're gonna get anything better than Game of Thrones anytime soon, however while we're waiting for our GOT fix another epic fantasy is coming to our screens in the form of The Shannara Chronicles. Based on the novel series by Terry Brooks, Shannara looks impressive and like a whole lot of fun. The trailer shows off the impressive visuals and really got me excited and interested in the show. the only negative is the bad CGI creature at the end. It looked bad.

Kim's Comment: "Scenery was pretty, orcs were prettier"

Rick and Morty

Finally finishing off the list is the second season of Rick and Morty, the sleeper hit animated show from last year is back with a bang! Expect more cooky and outrageous adventures through time and space with the world's worst grandad! Wubba-lubba-dub-dub!

Kim's Comment "Very colourful and vibrant. If season one is anything to go by this will be fucking radical"

Other shows that almost made it onto the list include Blindspot and Killjoys. I would have put them but they didn't quite get me as excited as these particular shows. That's pretty much it for shows I'm looking forward to! How about you guys? What show are you looking forward to the most?
