The upcoming [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267) movie is bringing to life one of the most powerful Marvel comic book characters of all time, Apocalypse. Oscar Isaac plays the ancient mutant in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men movie. Apocalypse was in the post-credit scenes in [X-Men: Days Of Future Past](tag:203942). But Apocalypse wasn't the only one, the Four Horsemen were also in the credits scene. And people have been wondering who the Four Horsemen will be, considering that they had different Horsemen throughout the comics.
As well as being insanely powerful, Apocalypse also like to find wayward mutants, brainwash them, and turn them into his minions. As I said, there have been many Horseman over the years. The Four Horseman were named after the biblical Four Horseman.
But Oscar Isaac answered the question that we had been waiting for at the San Diego Comic-Con. He took the stage, as well with his other cast members, and told us that the Four Horsemen would be Storm, Psylocke, Angel, and Magneto. These characters are played by Alexandra Shipp, Olivia Munn, Ben Hardy, and Michael Fassbender. The Four Horsemen could change throughout the movie, but we know that they will be the golden children for at least a little bit.
We already knew that Ben Hardy's Angel was going to be one of the Four Horsemen, because Singer shared official concept art of his change into Archangel.
While Apocalypse has many powers in the comics, Oscar said that his main power would be persuasion. Meaning that he has the power to manipulate and control other mutants and humans. Apocalypse is so powerful that he could even best Professor X with his mind. Isaac also said that he is a cult leader, which is one of the reasons that he is able to turn the Horsemen to his side.
X-Men: Apocalypse will take place ten years after the happenings of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Mutants are known and accepted, while some still find them to be threats, and others find them as gods. We are not sure exactly how big the involvement of the Four Horsemen will be. But all we can do is wait and see.
