Famous director Guillermo del Toro was at San Diego at Comic-Con this past week to promote his gothic-horror flick Crimson Peak and while he was being interviewed, he was asked if he could make a new Star Wars movie, what would it be about? Guillermo's answer may surprise some of you, but it's incredibly awesome!
del Toro laughs off a fun little plot:
“This is not real, this is me as a fat geek just geeking out and talking about it. I would do the sort of Godfather saga that Jabba the Hutt had to go through to gain control. One, because it’s the character that looks the most like me, and I like him. I love the idea of a Hutt type of mafia, a very complex coup. I just love the character.”

This is awesome. You can tell the self-deprecating Guillermo del Toro has a tremendous sense of humor. My favorite line is that he is "the character that looks the most like [Guillermo]." Hilarious. In my honest and humble opinion, somebody with money needs to hear this idea!
But while it seems like Hollywood needs as many ideas as it can get, now with this seemingly prevalent lack of originality in the industry, don't expect that Jabba Mafia movie to come out any time soon. Even though, I think we could all agree here, it would be pretty damn amazing!
On a semi-related note, as you may have known if you peeped our coverage of SDCC, the latest Star Wars reveal was this behind-the-scenes footage from [Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens](tag:711158). Check it out!
