For the past few years an extremely crafty superhero fan and artist by the online pseudonym of GeekyHooker has been brightening up the days of Comic-Con goers by scattering around her little crocheted creations for random people to find and keep.
A healthcare professional by day, the Geeky Hooker (as in a geek armed with a crochet hook, for those who need clarification) is a "crochet ninja by night," blending her skills and fandom together into one to produce little "critters" or miniature crocheted characters! She doesn't sell her wares, preferring to keep crochet as a hobby not a business, but instead leaves them around to be adopted into a new home. Talk about a truly awesome act of kindness!
This year the Geeky Hooker was out and about in San Diego Comic-Con once again leaving her critters for those to find, check out what she made:
He may look cute, but we all know he still has a mouth on him!
Baymax from Big Hero 6
Little wooly baby!
White walker from Game of Thrones
Yeah, he's still scary. Best make sure you arm yourself with dragonglass before approaching.
Chewbacca from Star Wars
He's a literal fuzzball!
Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy
My absolute personal favorite, you just know he's listening to some Blue Swede!
Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy
Meanwhile Groot is just boogieing out.
Batman and the Scarecrow
Let's hope the Scarecrow doesn't come with any fear toxin!
Super group assemble!
These are so amazing, and even more wonderful is that instead of selling them, the Geeky Hooker is leaving these little guys around for anyone to find for free!
