Tom Cruise is an all-out action movie star. It's well known that the Hollywood A-lister likes to do his own stunts, and those consistent leaks are just ways to clarify any ambiguity from the media that what we are looking at is Tom himself, not some doppelganger.

Thanks to a new promo video that dropped on [Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation](tag:373501)'s official YouTube, we get to see the adrenaline junkie actor hanging from the side of a plane in a scene that's been teased for over a year. That's an actual plane. In actual flight. Check it out:

First of all EIGHT FREAKIN TIMES!? If you needed any more confirmation that Cruise is an action star, then this stunt featurette proves beyond any doubt that the actor goes well above the call of duty for his craft. The scene is introduced by stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood, who chillingly concludes:

"You can't hang a multimillion-dollar star on the outside of an airplane and fly around in the normal world, but Tom wanted to be on the outside of that plane. It's not a little crash and a scratch ... you're dead."

Recalling the stunt, there was no bravado from Cruise, just plain honesty at the sheer terror he felt:

"If something went wrong, I can't get into the airplane until we land, I'm feeling the force of the wind hit me. I'm actually scared shitless."

If you want to see this scene in all its cinematic glory, be sure to catch Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation in theaters July 31st. Starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg, Rogue Nation is the fifth in the franchise and will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
