The world exploded when the new Batman vs. Superman trailer hit the internet. Everything about it is amazing in every way. There's so much to talk about. Let's step away from Batman or Superman and talk about Lex Luthor; because Lex Luthor deserves to be under the spotlight once in awhile.

Jesse Eisenberg is the new Lex Luthor, and he comes off just as evil and cunning as any other great DC villain. Check him out here in the amazing, new [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) trailer.

Lex Luthor may seem like an obscure villain right now, but here are five things you may not have picked up from the trailer. These could make all the difference between an obscure villain and a great villain.

1. Lex Luthor Wants Superman To Fight Batman

Where does Lex come into play?
Where does Lex come into play?

With a title like Batman vs. Superman, it's not hard to imagine what the majority of this movie will feature. That's right; this movie is going to be mostly about a god from another planet punching and kicking a man dressed in black armor. But if you can keep from being distracted by all the epic music and visual effects of the trailer, you'll notice Lex Luthor says, "Black and blue. God vs. man. Day vs. night." Hmmm...I wonder what that could mean. Yes, Lex Luthor is eager to see Superman fight Batman. Superman, as far as we can tell, is a threat to Lex Luthor and everyone else. Lex Luthor appears to not care who takes out Superman, so long as Superman gets taken out. Heck, maybe Batman and Lex Luthor are in on it together for a little while. I guess we'll just have to see.

2. He Has Friends In High Places

Money buys friends...
Money buys friends...

Remember that senator from the very beginning of the trailer? The one who apparently tries Superman in court? Well she's apparently friends with Lex Luthor. In movies now-a-days, if you're rich, then you have political friends in high places. This is really dangerous. It gives Lex Luthor near full leverage against Superman. It's also going to make it pretty darn easy for Lex Luthor to carry out his evil plan...whatever that may be. Batman and Superman - be warned.

3. Superman Bows Before Lex Luthor

What's Lex holding over Superman?
What's Lex holding over Superman?

Superman bows before no one...except for Lex Luthor apparently. That's really scary. Superman has the power to blow someone up with his laser eyes, or punch them across the city; he has the power to crush them in seconds. Yet, here he bows before Lex Luthor. Obviously, Lex Luthor is a lot more powerful and evil then his looks convey. Is he using Kryptonite? How is he controlling Superman? I want to know! Gosh darn; come already March 2016!

4. He Has Kryptonite

Oh no.
Oh no.

Ah, there it is! I knew Kryptonite would be making an appearance sometime or later. Superman's only weakness is Kryptonite. Lex Luthor needs to defeat Superman, and it looks like he has just the stuff to do it. Could he loan out Kryptonite to Batman? Maybe. After all, Batman's going to need some of that alien stuff too. The question is where did he get all that Kryptonite. It's not like Krypton is still around. We'll find out come March 2016, but until then we'll just have to guess.

5. He Has Zod's Corpse

He's up to no good...
He's up to no good...

We all knew Zod would be returning. Why? That's a really, really great question. It seems as if Lex Luthor has obtained Zod's corpse. For what purpose? It could be that he simply wants to resurrect him; but that'd be really hard and kind of misfire for Batman Vs. Superman. According to Cinemablend, it was reported that Lex Luthor will trigger a genome that turns Zod's body into Doomsday. In fact, this could be the movie's main villain, with Lex Luthor as more of a big baddie working from the shadows. Whatever the reason for using Zod's corpse is, we can all be sure that it's not for any good reason.

These are just a few of the questions needing to be answered about the new Batman vs. Superman. For most of the questions, we'll just have to theorize and then wait until March 2016. Until then, be excited!

Batman vs. Superman hits theaters March 25, 2016.
