Just a few weeks away from its silver screen debut, Fox released their final trailer for the rebooted Fantastic Four movie and from the looks of things, fans of the comic book superhero team will be in for a pretty wild ride. Starting from their childhoods, the film follows Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Sue and Johnny Storm as they explore dimensions unknown and defend ours.
While much of the details regarding the plot are still under wraps, Fox is calling the movie:
A contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

So, what did we learn from this trailer? Well, quite a bit. This looks like a Marvel movie injected with some serious action.
We meet the brilliant Reed Richards at a very young age
Unlike the Fantastic Four movies of the mid 2000s, this version will take us all the way back to Ben Grimm and Reed Richards' childhood in which Richards expresses his wish to become the first person to teleport himself.
Spoiler: He does it
Dreams do come true, if you're a highly intelligent scientist with the heart of an explorer.
Dream team assemble!
Alongside Ben (Jamie Bell), Sue (Kate Mara), Johnny (Michael B. Jordan), and I'm guessing Victor Domashev (Toby Kebbell), Reed Richards (Miles Teller) travel into a new dimension, the Negative Zone, which ends up being the source of their powers.
Things take a turn for the worse
The description briefly mentions a "friend turned enemy" that the team needs to fight. Since we know that Victor Domashev (Doctor Doom) receives his powers on the same exploration as the rest of the Fantastic Four, we can probably assume that this is Kebbell falling.
They come back from the Negative Zone with some new skills
I don't know about you, but even though these powers are nothing new, they still look pretty awesome. Plus, no pants for The Thing, so that's new.
Meet the new Doctor Doom
This is our first really up-close view of Doctor Doom's skin. We had seen the mask previously, but now we're led to believe his entire body is covered in this leather, bark-like material.
"He's stronger than any of us."
"He's not stronger than all of us."
Well, that's it! That's the last bit of new footage we're going to see until the movie is released. Did this trailer have you sold on Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg's version of Fantastic Four?
Even being a superhero movie, this updated version of Fantastic Four seems to pack even more action into the storyline and is a far cry from the colorful and largely lighthearted screen adaptation we saw before. But is that a good thing? I guess only time will tell.
Fantastic Four will be released starting August 7, 2015.
