Directed by, Alan Taylor, the plot to this film is that the consistent character of, John Connor (who is the son of Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese, and the leader of the worldwide human resistance, as well as the more specialized Tech-Com), sends Kyle Reese (The posthumous father of John Connor and the first love interest of Sarah Connor), back in time to protect Sarah Connor (mother of the resistance, responsible for raising John Connor and teaching him the ways of war), but when he arrives back in 1984, nothing is as he expected it to be.
This movie "Terminator Genisys" is an excellent movie for Terminator fans. It was made for fans to enjoy. It's the well deserved Terminator sequel. If you're not a fan of the Terminator films, it doesn't matter, this is still an entertaining action movie. The effects presented in this film are of top quality, the parts that are filled with action are both exciting and entertaining, and the acting is really well done. Previous reviews have expressed their opinions that, the movie lacks humor, but I would disagree. There are small jokes, cleverly placed with in the film.
For the fans, this is a movie that is so in sync with Camerons originals. The only way this movie could get any better, is if Cameron himself were involved.
The movie would have been a complete success if the trailer hadn't given away to many spoilers. In this movie, there's a lot of references and direct connections to Camerons originals. If you've seen all of the previous "Terminator" films you will recognize plenty of stuff. Some are big, some smaller. Maybe through sound effects or visual stuff, it's very true to Camerons visions.
The actors throughout the franchise, are Austria, Australia, England, Korea representing. Almost none of the main actors, that are cast are American. The actors for "Terminator Genisys" did a wonderful job. Emilia, Jason, Byung-hun - all did really good in this movie. And seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger return again is truly amazing.
It is truly astonishing to see stuff associated with the Terminator made with the latest technology. The endoskeletons within the movie were awesome!
Some of the dialogue and one-liners could've been said better, and a couple of the jokes are a bit overused, but other than that, I haven't got anything bad to say about this movie.
This is a truly entertaining Terminator film, just like the one's before it.
