The Power Rangers universe is very expansive as shown on television. Over the years, we've seen new teams of Rangers come and go as they continue to save the world from villains.

The Power Rangers franchise is set to take on a new life within cinema with the promise that it can create a new generation of fans while creating nostalgia for classic fans. In this day and age of superhero/comic book movies, a well-planned cinematic universe for the Power Rangers could work. With the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot set to come out on January 9, 2017, no official announcement of a sequel but I'm sure Lionsgate/Saban will want to do another film.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Part 2

The sequel takes place 6 months to a year after the events of the 2017 film. If Tommy Oliver wasn't introduced in the previous film, this would be the perfect way to introduce him. Rita Repulsa comes back and causes a major disturbance in the Morphin Grid so the Rangers would need new Zords i.e. Thunder Zords. Also, she could turn Tommy into the Green Ranger and have him fight the Rangers in the style of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and he joins the Rangers by the end of the movie.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Part 3

Tommy's powers as the Green Ranger are fleeting and some rifts in the teams are present. Lord Zedd comes into power as the film's main villain. He creates a diabolical plan to destroy Zordon and the Rangers. Zordon and Alpha get the idea to create a new Ranger i.e. the White Ranger. Adam, Rocky and Aisha are introduced as minor characters but they eventually replace Jason, Zack, & Trini by the end of the film as they prove themselves worthy to be Rangers. Warning: Somebody has to die!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Part 4

Lord Zedd wants to destroy the Rangers for good by destroying the Command Center. Zordon and he have a battle but the Command Center does get destroyed and a new power source for the Rangers is needed. Easter eggs of the Zeo crystals are shown in this film.
