Follow the yellow remote control all the way to NBC, where the Wizard of Oz-themed series Emerald City is set to air.

Showrunner David Schulner (The Oaks, Lightfields) has resurrected the previously killed project, which is set to follow Dorothy and her police dog on a grand adventure to another world:

A mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you’ve never seen before, where wicked witches don’t stay dead for long and a young girl becomes a headstrong warrior who holds the fate of kingdoms in her hands.

According to Deadline, Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Fall) is signed on to direct all 10 episodes of the first season. Known for his striking visual style, Singh is a great choice to bring the colorful and surreal world of Oz to life. Keep an eye on this one...

We'll bring you more news as the show develops. Stay tuned!
