Today, I am counting down 5 of all my favorite short films that have been made over the years. Before we get started, I wanted to give a brief description of how these started. Starting with the theatrical release of A Bug's Life, mostly all Pixar's films have been shown with a small short that was created for the film. So, let's get started!
1.) Tin Toy
This short was created in 1988, but wasn't released until 1995 with the home release of Toy Story. "Tin Toy" follows the one-man band named Tinny as he sees a baby named Billy. After a couple of quick chases around the room, the baby ends up with a cardboard box on his head.
I like this cause it was a very funny short, and my favorite part of it was where the little toy calms the baby downs after it falls.
Here is the short...
2.) Knick Knack
This short film was released with both the theatrical and the home release of Finding Nemo. It follows a snowman trying to escape his snowglobe in order to get to a girl from Sunny Florida on the other side of the room. I like it cause no matter how much he tries to get out, he just fails. Some ideas to getting out are so cool.
3.) Geri's Game
This short was featured with both the theatrical and the home release of A Bug's Life. This sees Geri playing a game of chess with himself. He pretends to be the opponent, and when the other player has to gives his dentures away since he lost, Geri puts his own dentures in his mouth and chuckles in victory.
4.) For the Birds
Released with both the theatrical and home release of Monsters. Inc, "For the Birds" sees a group of little birds enjoying a nice day. A large bird disrupts the calmness and makes the birds angry. They try to make him fall, and at the end end up having no feathers to cover up themselves with the large bird laughing away.
5.) Jack-Jack Attack
Attached with the home release of The Incredibles, "Jack-Jack Attack" follows the misadventures of Kari as she explains difficult events with Jack-Jack to Rick Dicker, who aids superheroes in hiding. It happens right after Kari hangs up with Helen Parr, AKA Elastigirl. At the end, they show Syndrome and Kari talking, him saying the initials "BS" stand for babysitter. And then Dicker cannot believe that Kari would believe all of Syndrome's lies, so he erases her memory and the short ends.
