Hey guys! A lot has been going on in the entertainment industry with this genre of films, and next year is going to be crazy for Marvel and DC, with [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267), [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870), etc.

For my first post I wanted to talk about some fan-casting options I would choose if I could help cast for upcoming Marvel and DC films. The characters I am talking about have been seen on the big screen and been done decently/poorly, and one character I haven't seen in a live-action film. Here are the characters and actors I would put in the new films:

Kit Harington as Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Kit Harington as Dick Grayson/Nightwing

For those of you who don't know much about comics or DC, Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the first Robin that fought alongside Batman. He was part of the Flying Graysons when he was younger, and when his family was killed, Bruce Wayne took him in and Grayson was trained to be Batman's partner. Since the Dark Knight trilogy, I've been wanting to see Nightwing in action, kicking ass alongside Batman and the other Robins and I think Kit Harington would be a perfect choice for several reasons:

-If you've watched Game of Thrones and Pompeii (haven't seen it), then you know that this guy is built, but not too bulky to be the acrobatic detective/ex-partner to Batman.

-Since the DCCU is starting it off with an older Bruce Wayne coming out of retirement to don the cowl, then Harington would be perfect to be an older and stronger Nightwing. Just in case anyone was wondering, Harington is only 28, and Affleck is 42, which is a good age gap to portray the relationship of a mentor and student

-Some of you have to admit that he'd look badass in the black and red/blue suit with the badass mask. Also, Harington is no stranger to dark and gritty roles (Game of Thrones, Silent Hill, and Pompeii).

Nightwing is one of my favorite characters in DC and goes on to become Batman for a time, and Harington would be perfect to don the cowl if DCCU went down that route. In general, Kit Harington is a young and talented actor who's a big up-and-comer in Hollywood and I think this would be a great role to add to his career list.

Michael K. Williams as John Stewart/Green Lantern
Michael K. Williams as John Stewart/Green Lantern

I got this idea earlier today watching the remake of RoboCop (flawed movie, but good actors) and thought Michael K. Williams would be badass as John Stewart. John Stewart is one of the most popular Green Lanterns in DC comics, and is a military-vet/architect from Detroit. John Stewart has been a huge debate on who should play the fan favorite Green Lantern. Since the next Green Lantern movie/reboot is going to be titled "Green Lantern Corps", I would totally want to see the 4 GL's (Jordan, Gardener, Rayner, and Stewart) either clash against each other, or fight together against a common enemy. I know whoever reads this will probably disagree with me but hear me out on this one:

-Williams is another actor used to a lot of dark and serious films such as Purge: Anarchy and Robocop. Even though he's been mostly a criminal in some of the films he's played, I think he'd be great for a darker version of John Stewart. Plus with that gnarly scar of his, he could portray a very badass Green Lantern who's an ex-marine and has seen a lot of action on Earth and in space.

-Michael K. Williams is the only actor I could think of that hasn't appeared in either a DC or Marvel movie, and could portray the gritty history and nature of John Stewart. Even though Idris Elba looks more like John Stewart in the comics, he can't do it because he's contracted with Marvel and I (personally) couldn't see Tyrese Gibson playing a hardened Green Lantern, whereas I think Williams would look good alongside Ben Affleck, Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot, and Henry Cavill on screen.

I know I don't have enough reasons for why Williams is my choice to be John Stewart, but I feel like he's a fantastic actor who could portray the military-vet/architect that would fight alongside the other green lanterns, and would be a full-time member of the Justice League.

Luke Evans as Sinestro and Juggernaut
Luke Evans as Sinestro and Juggernaut

Luke Evans is my choice for both Sinestro of DC, and Juggernaut of Marvel. Since there will be a new Green Lantern movie coming out in a few years, Sinestro is a villain that I would love to see again on the big screen, even though Mark Strong was a great Sinestro in the god-awful "Green Lantern" film with Ryan Reynolds. I'm sure some of you think that Juggernaut is probably a bad choice, I think Evans would be perfect for both and here's why:

- Juggernaut is Xavier's step-brother, Cain Marko, who was tossed aside after Marko's father married Xavier's mother and Charles was the favored son of the two, and when Juggernaut got his powers in the military, he hunted down Charles to get revenge on him for being the favored son. If Fox were to include Juggernaut back into the x-men films, then he would be a great villain for Professor X and the X-men to fight. Evans has also played characters in films (Dracula in "Dracula Untold" and Owen Shaw in "Fast & Furious 6")

-Sinestro was a former Green Lantern who went on to create his own Lantern Corps with the power of fear. Evans would be perfect as a villain against the Green Lantern Corps and is good at being the bad guy.

These are all actors who have proven themselves to be great on TV and in films, and since the superhero genre is starting to dominate the film industry, I think these characters would be perfect for these actors.
