My name is Baptiste Perraudin. I am 23 years old and I live in France. I am passionate about cinema and I have been making short films for 6 years. Being huge fans of the series The Walking Dead, some friends of mine and I decided to make a Fan Movie, to pay tribute to the series. Check it out:
Filmed in France
The shooting took place in October, 2014 in Le Creusot, France. We produced this film without any budget, but with passion and with the purpose of being altogether mobilized around a common project. After one month of shooting, I took care of the post-production of the film (film editing, special effects…), which lasted about 2 months.
Emmanuel Cavallo realized the soundtrack (check out his website: https://emmanuel-cavallo.bandcamp.com/).
Two sound engineers also worked with us on this project (Rémi Lamarche & Tristan Aubert).
About the Movie
Synopsis: An infection is spreading and progressively turning the world population into walking dead bodies. In this apocalyptic world, two men are trying to survive and reach a military camp to save themselves…
This movie contains a few references to other films, in honor of them and the inspiration they offered to me.
We have absolutely no intention of competing with the original series, our only goal is to make what we love and draw our inspiration from the greats.
Please don’t hesitate to comment and share if you liked this short movie.
Many local newspapers have talked about our movie and we have been broadcasted on the radio and on TV.
However, the greatest reward came last March 22, when the director of the Florida Supercon that takes place in Miami contacted me and told me he wanted to present my film at the Comic Con. After some consideration of this great opportunity I was offered, I gathered some money together and I left for the United States in June (from June 21st to July 1st) to present my film at the festival.
It was a great experience, I met a lot of people, in particular Dean Lyon, supervisor of special effects in The Lord of the Rings and actors of the series the Walking Dead.
But the most incredible part is that our short film won the competition in the category "short films," ahead of more that 50 other films. This is a great reward for the entire film crew as without any budget but with passion, our small production managed to export to the United States and win a prize in a renowned festival.
