One of my favorite people to follow on Tumblr as of late is the massively talented artist TheNamelessDoll. From her Disney Princesses with realistic facial proportions to animating them with their very own mermaid tails, this artist has no fear of switching up these iconic characters' aesthetics.
TheNamelessDoll is at it again, and this time she's hacking away at the luscious locks of the Disney ladies and giving them all new short hairdos. Check out her work below!
Ariel, The Little Mermaid
Long or short, Ariel has the hair that gave me seriously unrealistic expectations of what hair can look like as a child.
With all of the housework she used to do, keeping a short haircut means less hassle when Lady Tremaine comes to wake her for her chores.
Aurora, Sleeping Beauty
Once upon a dream I could rock a chelsea cut (a shaved head apart from the bangs) like Aurora!
Belle, Beauty and the Beast
A tiny bun is more than enough for Belle to still look stunning for her famous dance with the Beast.
It kind of upset me initially to see Jasmine's gorgeous hair cut, but then I came to realize she can definitely rock a shorter cut!
That short lilac-white hair color is so in right now.
Snow White, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
According to TheNamelessDoll:
Just imagine it: The evil Queen is already making Snow White to wear poor peasant clothing, but it can’t disguise her beauty. So I imagine the queen also forcing her to shave her head every morning, in a desperate attempt to make her less beautiful. But alas, even without her hair, Snow is still considered the most beautiful girl in the land, both inside and out. :3
We all know that Rapunzel ends up getting a serious haircut, but TheNamelessDoll made it even shorter and evened out some of the length, resulting in a nice trim.
Tiana, The Princess and the Frog
I almost feel like Tiana should have had this hairstyle the whole movie! It looks perfect on her. Then again, the art by Loryn Brantz shows that she can also seriously pull off letting her long hair down. If only we could all be so lucky.
Elsa and Anna, Frozen
Sisters who get drastic haircuts together, stay together! That's not a saying, but after seeing this picture it feels like it could be.
No matter what styles of hair these Disney Princesses have they look beautiful either way. Since I'm feeling inspired, maybe I'll take that lesson to heart and go in for a haircut myself!
