Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed during the Arrow panel that season 4 of the series would be introducing the superhero Mr. Terrific to Starling City's ranks.

And just today, Entertainment Weekly learned who would be playing the Olympic gold medalist and super genius-turned-superhero: Ben and Kate actor Echo Kellum.

But for Arrow, his origin story will be somewhat modified: He'll be known not as Michael, but as Curtis Holt, a genius inventor and tech wiz who works under Felicity at Palmer Industries.

This is an interesting bit of casting. While there have always been some comedic elements to both Arrow and The Flash, Kellum comes from a heavily comedic background, such as Ben and Kate, Sean Saves the World, and Comedy Bang! Bang! Does this mean we might see Arrow's dark intensity lighten up a bit in the style of The Flash? Or will Kellum be tackling an almost purely dramatic role?

I guess we'll find out this fall. Arrow season 4 returns to The CW on October 7.
