Arrow has officially cast two new actors today to play a main villain and main hero coming into the ever-growing DC on TV universe. Be warned, spoilers below!
With the big-bad this season being Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), who we know has his own Lazarus Pit and runs the organization H.I.V.E., fans have been wondering when we'd start getting some more information on members of his villainous organization. Well, today we got a casting for one the villains working under Mr. Darhk - specifically, Anarky, who will be played by actor Alexander Calvert (Bates Motel).
For those of you who don't know, Anarky was actually a Batman villain from the comics. This rendition seems to imply he will be going above and beyond to impress his new employer - Damien Darhk.
According Comic Book Resources,
Calvert will first appear in the second episode as Lonnie Machin (a.k.a. Anarky) who "is a deranged freelancing criminal who is willing to do whatever it takes to impress a potential employer."
Pretty exciting stuff! But there's more!
The New Hero - Mr. Terrific!
IGN spilt the beans on Mr. Terrific, who will be played by actor Echo Kellum, with this quote;
Kellum will first appear as Curtis Holt (aka Mr. Terrific), in episode two as well, EW reports. Holt will be introduced as a tech genius who works under Felicity Smoak at Palmer Technologies.
For those of you who don't know, in the comics Mr. Terrific is the third smartest person in the world, so expect his contribution to team Arrow to be immense!
Also, this seems to reveal a major spoiler that will not impact Arrow, but The Flash and [DC's Legends of Tomorrow](tag:2937021) as well, specifically that:
Felicity will now be running Palmer Technologies and, as such, will be the one providing the finances that fund team Arrow throughout the season. And with Mr. Terrific joining the fold, his contribution to tech upgrades for characters like the A.T.O.M., captain cold and heat wave (their weapons), and many more is sure to be tremendous!
Stay tuned for more information! Arrow is set to return on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
