MAY CONTAIN SOME MINOR SPOILERS**
Okay well first let me start by saying, it happens everyone goes through what you are going through right now, if you are reading this list it was given much thought & things do get better! The following are the movies me & my friends turn to every time we go through a breakup, not every movie is a breakup themed movie & no romance movies are included in this list. This list is more targeted towards women, but that doesn't mean men cant also enjoy most of the movies on this list as well. I hope you take them into consideration!
So let's begin...
The Other Woman
"New York lawyer Carly Whitten lives by strict rules when it comes to romantic relationships, but when she falls for suave, handsome Mark King, she begins an affair with him. A surprise visit to Mark's home reveals that he is married to devoted housewife Kate. Carly and Kate direct their hurt and anger toward Mark, and when they discover yet a third woman (Kate Upton) caught in his web of lies, the three join forces for revenge."
Okay... I'm not saying that if it happened that way, you should go become best friends with your ex significant others mistress & plot to ruin his life... BUT, this movie is loaded with endless inspiration & girl power!

Okay... we all know why this one is on the list... let me tell you a little secret the key to getting over any breakup is Channing Tatum.
"By day, Mike makes ends meet any way he can -- handyman jobs, detailing cars or designing furniture. But nighttime is when Mike really gets to display his many talents: He's the hot headliner in an all-male revue. Mike sees potential in a 19-year-old he dubs the Kid, takes the teen under his wing and instructs him in the tricks of the trade. However, Mike learns there's a downside to the stripper lifestyle when it threatens his romance with the Kid's sister."
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
I think this one is one of my favorites on the list because we can see a breakup through a males perspective.
"Struggling musician Peter Bretter is better-known as the boyfriend of TV star Sarah Marshall. After she unceremoniously dumps him, he feels lost and alone but makes a last-ditch bid to get over it by going to Hawaii. However, she and her new boyfriend are there in the same hotel."

To be honest with you I couldn't tell you why this is on my list, but it works... it has a little bit of everything you need to want to be single for a while, and be happy with that.
"When 16-year-old Nicole Walker meets 23-year-old David McCall at a Seattle nightclub, she falls in love. David is exciting and charming, and despite the wide age gap, he wins over Nicole's family -- except for her workaholic father, Steven, who's suspicious of David from the start. His concerns are realized when David turns out to be a violent sociopath who sees Nicole as his possession, and her family home a fortress to be invaded."

For those who are concerned as to how this will help them get over a breakup. Or you question how significant these movies are to the title, I would let you know that I chose the movies strictly based off of how I felt after watching them. I tried to stray away from generic breakup movie lists, because you could go all day looking for playlists to motivate you to move on, but they are always the same so here is something different that I hope you can enjoy (:
And last but not least...
The Other Guys
Chosen simply because it is hilarious & could lighten any mood(:
"Unlike their heroic counterparts on the force, desk-bound NYPD detectives Gamble and Hoitz garner no headlines as they work day to day. Gamble relishes his job as a paper pusher, but Hoitz is itching to get back on the street and make a name for himself. When a seemingly minor case turns out to be a big deal, the two cops get the opportunity to finally prove to their comrades that they have the right stuff."
I hope you enjoyed my list(: Thanks for reading & have a great day.
