Since the official announcement was made by Kevin Feige himself that the next Captain America sequel will be titled [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), one major thing that came to mind was if the Serpent Society would appear.

During the press conference for the plans of Marvel Phase 3, Feige had initially announced the sequel as 'Captain America: Serpent Society'. For those of you that are not familiar with the comics, The Serpent Society is an organization consisting of snake themed supervillains with the primary goal of destroying Captain America. The team consists of various members such as Anaconda, Asp, Black Mamba, Black Racer, Bushmaster, Cobra, Copperhead, Sidewinder, Boomslang and many others. Because of their history with Captain America in the comics, it would make sense to have them appear in the sequel as the team responsible for the catastrophic events that occurs in "Civil War" that forces the government to push the Superhuman Registration Act. Despite Baron Zemo being the primary villain in the new sequel, it could be a safe bet that he's gained the aid of the Serpent Society due to the crippling state of HYDRA following the events of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" & "[The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035)". Even if there are still surviving members of HYDRA, they would have little to no competition against The Avengers which would cause Zemo to call upon a team that can actually put up a fight.

Despite the film heavily focusing on the Anti Registration Avengers led by Captain America battling the Pro Registration Avengers led by Iron Man, it's safe to assume that at least in the third act of the film they either temporary or permanently put aside their differences to defeat Zemo. Another element that would be cool is if early in the film while the tensions between Rogers & Stark increases, Zemo sees the ultimate opportunity to strike them at their weakest point by aligning himself with the Serpent Society to invade The Avengers at their headquarters which would be a loose but nice reference to the "Under Siege" storyline which saw Zemo assemble a team of supervillains to attack The Avengers at their mansion. Considering the fact the only villains in the film so far are Baron Zemo & Crossbones, there needs to be more villains that can actually put up a fight to The Avengers and The Serpent Society could fit that caliber heavily if introduced in the film. Because of the large roster the Serpent Society has, it would be more than necessary to introduce them into the MCU as they could actually be included in a number of installments even going as far as to making it in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So what do you guys think? Would you want to see the Serpent Society be introduced in Civil War or other future installments?
