Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is back and with an all star cast. Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and Ron Perlman star in this latest terrifying edition of undead survival.

Black Ops III's 'Zombies' mode will be the "deepest Zombies experience to date."

Known officially as 'Shadows of Evil', Activision's latest chapter of undead promises to be the most ambitious and immersive gaming experience yet. Shadows of Evil will bring fear and chaos like never before. The world is considerably darker this time around, focus and teamwork will be essential in making it through the city alive.

The Backstory

Black Ops 3 Zombies mode is a film-noir-inspired horror story. Although the game itself is set in the distant (ish) future, Black Ops 3's Zombies will be set in the 1940s.

The aptly named city of Morg is awash with infected and features a rather unlikely group of individuals. The femme fatale, the cop, the magician, and the boxer.

Each character will awaken into a world riddled with fear and doubt as they each try to overcome serious bouts of amnesia. The city that they now exist in is littered with ravenous zombies.

As you chop your way through the relentless waves of zombies, each character will learn a little more of their rather sketchy past. The entire city is built in a way that will allow the players to have a zombie experience like never before. The storyline is one of epic revelation and exploration and is complete with mind-blowing cinematic experiences, as well as its very own XP progression system.

A 'Giant' Bonus

Along with the Shadows of Evil campaign, Activision will also be taking us back to the 'ground zero' of zombie killing. A bonus DLC attached to the 'Hardened pack,' will be available that takes us back to the Der Riese Zombies map from Call of Duty: World at War.

Nostalgic gold to the Call of Duty fan, The Giant picks up the story of Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo from the original zombie battle back in 2008. Fans will be transported back to that very same Nazi research facility where it all began.

Hold onto your hats, this is gonna get wild!

Achieve video game immortality with a role in Call of Duty: Black Ops III

For the first time ever, Call of Duty Zombies will be inviting fans to apply to 'become a zombie' in their latest edition of the franchise. Activision has teamed up with Omaze in what's known as the 'Call of Duty Endowment Project,' getting vets back to work.

The Call of Duty Endowment is a nonprofit organization that gets veterans back to work by funding high-impact organizations that prepare veterans for the job market.

This opportunity will allow the lucky winner to visit the Call of Duty studios in Los Angeles, get their name immortalized inside the Zombie mode map, have lunch with Mark Lamia and further explore Treyarch Studios in a behind-the-scenes tour. They will also be zombified by their talented undead team.

To enter the draw, shoot over to the Omaze page here.

I have to say that Advanced Warfare completely revolutionized the way we fight, fear and interact with the undead. Treyarch has a lot to compete with this time around. However, from what I have seen so far, this 1940s edition will genuinely put the horror back into the game.

The team are taking us back to our roots, a concept that has been needed for a good few years when it comes to the Call of Duty franchise. A title to please both the old school Call of Duty fans as well as the new comers to the franchise is key, and I think this chapter of Black Ops could do just that.
