In the age of movies and cinematic universes, there are few worthy properties still left untouched. Halo, even though having some production done on it, never made it out of development hell and ended up being canned. However, with the success that will be garnered from such video games movies as Warcraft and Assassin's Creed, I think Halo will once again be a viable movie option. With a Halo universe, the options for sequels and spin-offs are not only easy, but necessary in the success of this franchise. So, what could a Halo Cinematic Universe bring us?

Master Chief Saga

The Master Chief Saga would serve as an Avengers-type placeholder. A new Master Chief movie would come out at the end of each phase, however, the first Master Chief movie would serve as the opening of the entire universe. My Chief Saga will begin before the events of the first Halo, and actually start back when he is being field trained with his original platoon of other Spartans. This will help us learn how John functions, and why he is so different than the other Spartans. It will also help introduce the necessary knowledge about the universe so that we may spin-off into...

Spartan Squad Spin-offs

These movies will focus on a squadron of Spartans that combat The Covenant across the universe. It will be a four person squadron much like we see in Halo: Reach. The first movie of theirs will start with the reestablishment of the Spartan program after the events of Halo3. We will follow them throughout various missions across planets dealing with Covenant who attempt to overtake human colonies. It will be a few movie journey that will feel a lot like Band of Brothers or The Pacific, but in space.

The Arbiter

The Arbiter's series of movies will of course start during the event of Halo 2 where we see him branded into the the Arbiter we know. This will allow him to interact with Chief (only cameos) during some sequences that coincide with Halo 2. Halo 3 will be addressed here in a minute. After Halo 3, we will follow him during the journey he takes while Chief is lost at space. We'll get to follow him in his attempt to restructure the Covenant. We will get to see how the "enemy" thinks and operates, as well as figure out why there is still a war waging with the humans even after the events of Halo 3.

Since this IS a cinematic universe, of course there will be crossovers. The events of Halo 3 will serve as the first crossover bringing the likes of Chief and The Arbiter together. We will see two enemies interact and have to work together for a common goal. We will also see the bonds of brotherhood form between the two unlikely allies. The next crossover will happen between Halo 3 and Halo 4 when The Arbiter and the Spartan Squad are forced to team up to counter a rogue division of the Covenant who are now breaking the bonds of the treaty formed at the end of Halo 3. Finally, all parties will meet in Halo 5 where The Arbiter tries to find his old friend, while the Spartan Squad are reluctantly tasked with tracking down the now deserter Master Chief. Events will transpire, and new threats will arise that force them all to work together to defeat an enemy larger than them.
