From what I've picked up from comment sections on my [Ghostbusters (2016)](tag:32733) articles, there's a strong contingent of haters on this reboot. Why is that the case? I don't really know. I mean, sure the cast is all female, but all four of the lead characters are proven comedians. And this idea that the new film might "sully" the franchise is completely unfounded.

Something to consider is that this is a fun action-comedy film - something director Paul Feig does exceptionally well. I urge you to give this film a shot, or at least wait until the trailer comes out before unleashing hatred and disgust toward it.

Anyway, now that I've said my piece, here's the NEWS! We got names, people. The names of the four aforementioned women who will be starring in this film, to be exact!

Said names? Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon).

What do you think? At least we now know who to call... and what to call them by.
