It's a fairly well-known fact that cool guy and ass-kicking actor, Vin Diesel, is actually a pretty big geek. Specifically, he is a huge Dungeons & Dragons fan and has been playing the tabletop game for over 20 years now. I mean, when you make it into a Penny Arcade strip, you've pretty much earned your title as a King of Nerds.
And he reaffirmed his legit geek cred** over the weekend with an epic birthday cake. The Guardians of the Galaxy cast member and Fast & Furious franchise cornerstone turned 48 and celebrated his day in true Dungeon Master style:
That...is pretty freaking awesome. I don't play D&D, but my friends and I do play a lot of Magic: The Gathering, and now I'm wondering how I can make a Planeswalker card cake for someone's birthday. Vin Diesel - and whichever bakery made your cake - I salute you. I'm rolling a d20 in your honor.
**Sidenote: We are truly living in a glorious Golden Age of Geekdom when it's more common that people have to prove their true geek cred than street cred.
If you could have a geek game birthday cake, which would you choose?
