We're still a few weeks away from seeing public footage from Deadpool, and just a few more away from the release of The Fantastic Four - but FOX has now rolled out the big guns, showing us the highlights of their massive list of SDCC panels (and further convincing us that Chris Hardwick actually lives in Hall H) through a newly released video. Check it out:
Instead of kicking off the reel with the expected superhero fanfare, Fox dedicates the first few segments to their other films, including the highly anticipated continuation of the Maze Runner series, [Maze Runner 2: The Scorch Trials](tag:1142567). Veteran actor Giancarlo Esposito praised his fellow cast members, saying: "I've been doing this for 50 years, and this cast is committed."
Next, James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe discussed Victor Frankenstein, painting a picture of what looks like an Igor torture flick. Let's hope poor Igor gets his justice at some point of another - we love us some DanRad here at Moviepilot HQ! All jokes aside, fans from Hall H cannot stop talking about what they saw at that panel, and the movie seems like a promising adaptation.
Of course, it didn't take very long for the conversation to turn to FOX's massive roster of superhero films, with the cast and crew of The Fantastic Four kicking off what would soon lead to a very, very packed stage.
Next up, the cast of Deadpool completely charmed the audience, with Ryan Reynolds leading the charge as passionately as he has been from day one. "No matter what the rating is, though," Reynolds assured the audience, "... babies will love it."
Hugh Jackman's departure from Wolverine after Wolverine 3 was a solemn, heartfelt moment that was almost immediately followed by the introduction of his fellow cast members from [X-Men: Apocalypse](tag:1194267), giving fans a glimpse at what's been cooking at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. "Patrick Stewart doesn't have shi*t on me," joked James McAvoy, sporting the classic Professor X "Chrome Dome".
And then, of course, the selfie seen 'round the world came together in a magical moment featuring two surprise guests -- Channing Tatum, sporting a Gambit tee, and the man himself: Stan Lee. Amidst all of the celebration, Tatum helped his Generalissimo off of the stage afterwards.
