5. Lance Bishop - Aliens
Badass, cool cat, hero; whatever the title chosen Bishop deserves his place on this list. Sure he's lacking a certain amount of humanity (no spoilers) but he remains helpful, diligent in his role and stubborn as a cow in concrete. What he lacks in warm fuzzies he makes up for in grit and I'd suggest that is more useful when you're fighting for your life.
4. Randy Meeks - Scream & Scream 2
The oracle of horror Randy is a badass because of his knowledge and understanding of what is to come, whether people listen to him or not. Sure he's not strong but with wisdom and a dark sense of humour comes a defiant and very human force against harbingers of death. Aided by his complete self awareness Randy of a man who knows himself and the enemy... more or less.
3. Hannibal Lecter - Manhunter, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising
Like any apex predator the doctor learned as he grew; adapting, advancing and understanding the world around him completely. Lecter is a trump of the horror world, the calm eye of a perfect storm. Calculated and far from mindless he is a badass of style and predatory grace, a god among insects.
2. Ash Williams - Evil dead trilogy
After landing himself in the situation of all bad situations Ash offers comedy and resilience in the face of oncoming pain, death and the end of the world. Sure he's a little crazy, and steadily getting worse, but he handled it well. As much a cult icon as a lord of badassery Ash's attitude places him firmly in the not-to-be-messed-with category.
1. Michael Myers - Halloween franchise
Possibly the biggest baddest badass of the horror world Michael is the king of killing it. Practically immortal and with no tragic back-story to humanise him Michael is a force of consistent violence unyielding in the face of time. Sure he is one of the bad guys but he's at the top of his game and has been for decades. Run or hide, there's no escaping this King's reign of terror.
