If there's a theme to Marvel's Phase Two, it would be "Easter eggs! Easter eggs for EVERYBODY!" Oprah, obviously, is at work behind the scenes.

One of the biggest Easter eggs-slash-groundwork laying scenes of any recent movie was when Thor took a trip to the special pool in the cave with Erik Selvig in [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035). Because so much of Joss Whedon's vision had to end up on the cutting room floor (along with a Loki appearance, RIP sweet prince), the dream sequences with Thor left a lot of viewers scratching their heads and going, "Okay, what."

But savvy viewers know that these were hinting at the next movie in Thor's world: [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858). And in a new interview with LA Times, actress Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif) revealed that [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) will also plant more seeds for the third Thor film.

Yeah, there’s a lot of great stuff they’ve peppered in through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers, Captain [America: Civil War] will have some stuff. There's just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you’re really paying attention. They’re so good at interweaving everything throughout those films.

With Age of Ultron setting up, or at least hinting at, so many potential future Marvel movies, it's no surprise to learn that Civil War will do more of the same. The third Captain America movie is dealing solely with the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and (for now) earthbound superheroes, so Thor won't be present, nor will any of the Asgardians, as far as we know.

But the end of Ultron saw Thor returning to Asgard to get to the bottom of who is collecting the Infinity Stones, which obviously leads into [The Avengers: Infinity War](tag:738027). So I'd fully expect there to be a scene, or at least a few lines, where we as the audience get an update on what Thor is up to while he's off-screen and doing his thing in Asgard.

One thing Alexander could reveal, however, was that Lady Sif would be returning in Thor: Ragnarok and would have "a very pivotal part" in the events of the third movie. With Lady Sif's character being the only superhero to make the jump in the MCU from the movies to television and vice versa, it's no surprise that her role will be expanded in the upcoming film. Thus far, she's been the only character from the MCU who has been directly involved in events both on Earth and beyond it.

Still, she can't quite reveal what part she'll play in Ragnarok, exactly.

"I just can't tell you what because I'll get shot," she joked.

I've never been very patient when it comes to waiting for the next installment of a story, so having to wait until May 6th of next year for Captain America: Civil War and November of 2017 for Thor: Ragnarok is kind of killing me right now.

What Marvel Phase Three movie are you most looking forward to?
