Attention: This is just a THEORY and is not factual
Batman Vs Superman is shaping up to be pretty awesome! There are so many plot points that we have seen so far in the trailers that it's a bit hard to keep up. One story line that has had me wondering a lot lately is how exactly Lex Luthor is going to play into [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870). His distaste for Superman is quite obvious, but it is unclear as to how he will go about going after him. I have an interesting theory as to what his maniacal plan may be:
Will he manipulate one of our heroes?
Lex Luthor is one of the most brilliant villains ever. He can be a very influential individual and I think his plan may be to manipulate one of our heroes to do his dirty work. The hero that is the likely to be manipulated is Batman for many reasons. Both Lex and Bruce has a strong disdain for Superman and would stop at nothing to see him gone. Why would Batman team up with a villain though?
What is Batman thinking?
Bruce Wayne's head is clearly not in the right place. It is unsure as to why Batman is so angry with Superman other than a Wayne Financial building being destroyed, possibly during the fight between Superman and Zod. Bruce clearly blames Superman for this and Lex takes notice. Lex sees that he can use Batman to get rid of Superman. Batman is fueled by so much rage that he doesn't think clearly and sides with him. How much does Lex play into Batman's attack on Superman? Is he responsible for Batman's greatest weapons?
Does Lex give Batman Kryptonite?
Kryptonite is official a part of the DCCU. We saw it officially in the Batman Vs Superman trailer at Comic-Con. The trailer revealed that Lex Luthor was in possession of some Kryptonite. How he obtained this is unclear, but could he have given some to Batman for his Bat-suit? Batman creates a special suit to face Superman, which I have nicknamed the "Supe-Buster", and it is lined with what seems to be Kryptonite. It is unlikely that Bruce Wayne obtained Krpytonite on his own so Lex Luthor may have been the supplier. This again would be another reason why Batman would side with Lex to take down Superman. Eventually Batman will realize how evil Lex truly is. Could this be what unites Batman and Superman?
Finding a common enemy
Eventually Batman and Superman will unite to take on Lex Luthor together but will they both realize the real enemy is Lex and not each other? Batman is going to understand what happened and stop blaming Superman, and then he will realize how Lex was using him for his dirty work. At this moment, the dawn of the Justice League will be upon us.
It is still a mystery
It is still a mystery how Lex Luthor will play into Batman Vs Superman's story. I may have a theory but I honestly still have no clue. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is really a hard character to figure out. This is definitely a different Lex so its hard to compare him to his comic book counter part. Either way I'm sure Jesse Eisenberg will do a good job and his involvement in the story will be well written. The red capes are coming my friends.
