A while back, Avalanche Studios referenced mods on Xbox One and PS4 for Just Cause 3. They adore the mods that people have created for the Just Cause series in the past and want to ensure that everything is supported to the best of their abilities for the future. They admired Bethesda's move to bringing mods to consoles for Fallout 4 and hope to follow in the same direction!
Just Cause 3 looks like the insane kind of gaming experience we've always wanted, but I'm sure fans will discover ways in which the madness can be expanded upon! Therefore, I thought I'd take a look at some of the mod ideas people have had for the upcoming game and previous instalments. Imagine if Xbox One and PS4 owners could enjoy these along with the PC crowd!
Just Cause 3 - Mods on Xbox One, PS4 & PC!
Just Cause 2 is still a fantastic sandbox adventure. Avalanche are masters at making games what they all really should be: fun! They jest at the seriousness of characters in Video Games, they employ terrible voice acting, ridiculous physics and set pieces that will blow your mind. Just Cause 3 looks like it's out to top everything the series has ever created and we can't wait for its release date on December 1st.
So let's celebrate these games with the mods that dedicated fans have brought to this universe. Some of them are pretty incredible!
Best Mods for Improving the Gameplay of Just Cause 2
One of the greatest mods for Just Cause 2 that I know JC fans who own an Xbox One and PS4 would love to get their hands on is Island in Chaos. This mod transformed everyone on the island into Rico. They took to the streets in an insane manner. They drove off cliffs, smashed into petrol stations, crashed jets, destroyed helicopters and actively fought the military on the island. It's a beautiful sight and I hope something like it returns for Just Cause 3.
SUPERMAN! If there's one thing that Rico is missing, it's the power of flight. Just Cause 3 has really increased the powers of the grapple hook to the extent where we nearly can fly with our new wingsuit, but we can always take it one step further!
I'm so excited for XBOX One and PS4 owners to get in on some of this mod action - they have no idea what they're missing! We can basically turn every game into Goat Simulator if we so choose. But I guess that's kind of what Just Cause always has been, the AAA Goat Simulator.
But there's one thing that really needs to come to all platforms again with Just Cause - multiplayer. There is one of the most incredible mods ever created for Just Cause 2 that enables hundreds of people to play on the same map. The results are literally astounding. If Just cause 3 can replicate this experience on consoles and PC, we'll never need another game.
How do you feel about mods entering the console world? Are you delighted? Avalanche will hopefully make it happen with Just Cause 3 and we'll start to see mods become something that every gamer can enjoy, regardless of playtofrm. Well...unless you're on a Nintendo one. Let us know what you'd like to see in Just Cause 3 on its release date and what your favourite mod would be!
