Ever since she was catapulted to global superstar status for her involvement after she played the feisty Naoimi in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, it seems that Australian actress Margot Robbie is everywhere.
And she's even more high-profile now that she's taken on the role of Harley Quinn in the first movie adaptation of the comic character! Take a look at the trailer for Suicide Squad here:
Yet, considering she's one of the hottest things in Hollywood right now, I bet you still don't know that much about Margot.
Well, here's your chance to get up close and personal with the following 9 facts.
1. She blossomed on Australian soap opera Neighbours
Following in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue, young Margot actually started her career on the set of the Aussie soap. She played the character of Donna Freeman - jog your memory with the video below:
2. She beat K-Stew and Jessica Biel for the role in The Wolf of Wall Street
She also admits to getting drunk before filming her sex scenes with Leo:
"I did three shots of tequila at like nine in the morning, right before doing it."
3. Her nickname is "Maggot"
In Grade One, tiny Margot was given this terrible nickname, which she hated. At the age of 8, she realized there was no way of getting around it, so she just embraced it.
4. Margot used to work at Subway
Yup, before she made her acting debut, she was a pro at building the perfect hoagie and her job title was that of "Sandwich Artist."
5. She loves beer and french fries
The actress admits to having a pretty poor diet, admitting:
"I love beer, fries, burgers, but if I have to get in a bikini then I eat carrot sticks for three days. I'm one extreme or the other."
6. She's been trying to get into the superhero game for a while
Before being confirmed as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, she also auditioned for the role of Susan Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four. Sadly, Kate Mara snapped up that one but Margot later hit the jackpot anyway.
7. If she wasn't an actress, she would be a trapeze artist
Because, why not?
8. She dressed up as James Franco from Spring Breakers for Halloween
Not bad, not bad.
9. She's always single!
I find this one hard to believe, but apparently Margot usually struggles to find a suitable date. She says:
"I'm always single. I'm never in one place long enough to get a boyfriend."
And when asked what she looked for in a man, she revealed:
"Rugged. I like ponytails, beards, maybe a tattoo."
Thankfully, she's doing alright for herself right now anyway considering she is in fact dating British assistant film director Tom Ackerely.
I don't see any ponytails or heavy beards, though...
