After becoming the biggest February opening of all time and earning a staggering $569 million in the box office, it's clear that, whether you like it or not, this Fifty Shades of Grey train shows no signs of slowing down. With a release date scheduled for 2017, we have some time before we see Christian Grey's Red Room of Pain, but that doesn't mean it's too early to start talking casting.

He's known to many of us as the Man of Steel, but rumor has it that the [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) actor Henry Cavill could be playing Anastasia Steele's boss, Jack Hyde, in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.

Whether or not these rumors are true, Cavill has taken the route of playing coy and having a bit of fun with the speculation.

Alongside Armie Hammer during the press junket of their new movie [The Man From U.N.C.L.E.](tag:44548), Cavill skirted questions about Fifty Shades Darker, but was careful not to deny any involvement, much to Hammer's delight.

Hammer: Please tell me you're doing Fifty Shades of Grey! *laughs*

Cavill: Basically what I can say is I can't say anything about it now.

Hammer: Oh god.

Check out their interview with E! to hear the words directly from Cavill's beautiful mouth:

So, do you think Henry Cavill is just having fun with the rumors and stringing us along, or will he be taking on the character described as a “man with sensual blue eyes that can pierce your heart.”

The piercing blues he already has in the bag, but can we really see Cavill take on a supporting role that requires a bit of kink on his end? I guess we'll just have to wait and find out!

If Cavill does sign on to play Jack Hyde, it's almost a guarantee that he will appear in at least the two remaining films in the franchise since the character plays a pretty big role in both Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed.

Henry Cavill's latest movie, Man From U.N.C.L.E., will be released August 14, 2015 followed by the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016.
