Elder Scrolls Online has enjoyed over a month of success on the Xbox One and PS4. PC players have watched this title evolve since its release date in April, 2014, though of course it still has its problems. Elder Scrolls Online isn't the multiplayer-Skyrim title we all desired, but could it inspire Bethesda to include a multiplayer addition to Elder Scrolls 6?

There have been many fans of the Elder Scrolls series that have longed for a multiplayer aspect for these incredible games. Elder Scrolls Online was that hope, and even though it can be a lot of fun - and Xbox One and PS4 owners are loving it - it has a lot of issues holding it back. Therefore, should Elder Scrolls Online inspire Elder Scrolls 6 to do better?

Elder Scrolls Online - Inspiring Multiplayer in Elder Scrolls 6

I've often wondered what it'd be like to roam the lands of Skyrim with a friend by my side. Bethesda gift players such glorious freedom that Elder Scrolls Online lacked. ESO could have been something incredible if it had borrowed more than just the Tamriel-setting from the Elder Scrolls series. Multiplayer would be a welcome addition to Skyrim if we could allow for a server of players to engage with one another in that enormous world. But how would it work with the game's RPG progression?

Personally, I'd like to see progress shared when players interact with one another online or complete a quest. But then Bethesda are very particular about their worlds and the lore within them. Would it break our immersion in Elder Scrolls 6 if multiplayer was allowed? If it was an entirely optional aspect of the game and didn't impede on those that want to focus on their singleplayer experience, then Elder Scrolls Online can have as much influence as it likes!

Do You Enjoy ESO On Xbox One & PS4?

But what is your general consensus on Elder Scrolls Online? Is it something that any game should admire and draw from? Does it have redeemable features that Elder Scrolls 6 could incorporate? Personally, I think ESO is extremely addictive. It's PvP is some of the best you can get on any platform and if Bethesda were to oversee a multiplayer aspect that rivalled ESO's greatest strength, I'd be more excited for their continuation of the series.

But what about you guys? Does The Elder Scrolls Online offer anything you'd like to see Bethesda adopt for Elder Scrolls 6? Are you enjoying the game on PC, XBOX One or PS4? Let us know in the comments below!
