Michael Bay may pass on the Director's helm

Last year we saw Transformers: Age of Extinction release, grossing more than $1 billion worldwide. This should garuntee a Transformers 5 although Michael Bay says that he is probably done with shooting movies with robots in disguise.

We heard him make this claim before directing that he was done with the Transformers franchise after the 3rd installment (Dark of the moon). The question is, will he follow up on his claim this time? The 49 year old film makerhas also been chosen as a potential director for a Ghost Recon film adaptation and a WWII thriller currently named 'sabotage'.

Thing is, that in an article by US Today featured that Bay may want to 'pass the baton' to another director for Transformers 5. The same article contains a direct quote from Bay stating that;

“There’s kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make,” says Bay, who is eyeing a passion project, a documentary on elephant poaching. “I have a lot of stories to tell. And it’s about flexing new muscles.”

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura's old claims that Michael Bay may not be directing the Transformers series and that he may be replaced by another director.

“I think it’s one of those classic things where somebody reported that and suddenly it became our plan. We have never discussed the idea of how to hand it off, honestly. It’s not like we don’t think, well what happens if Michael doesn’t do it, of course you do. But we want to keep Michael on this, so we’re not spending any time worrying about who could come in. We’re trying to figure out how to keep him going and keep him excited.”

Hell. I sure hope Michael Bay directs this once. We all know that Transformers 5 won't be the same without him
