Minions may be resistant to wearing anything but working denim, but it doesn't mean that the fashion industry can't wear them on their sleeves.
Designer Giles Deacon has come out with a ‘Minions Bello Yellow Collection’ that splashes their likeness over shift dresses and T-shirts emblazoned with cartoon motifs and '60s op-art patterns. Rupert Sanderson has come out with a Minion inspired shoe line. A 10 pair set worn by Sandra Bullock, who voices the villain Scarlett Overkill in the movie, sold for over $42,000 in a recent charity auction. Pantone, the global color authority, has declared Minion Yellow as part of their official color hue stable. It is the first color to be released by them in three years.
It is not so much that Minions need a makeover as the cute yellow creatures are making over the fashion industry. In anticipation of Minion domination of the planet, the folks over at British fashion site Stylight have illustrated the next step in human evolution. They have changed 9 popular fashion icons into Minionistas,-- cute adorable yellow versions of their usual stern, authorial and aloof selves.
